We need more ranked players the top 10 lists are broken now.

I mean exodus is going all doom and gloom, putting doom five times in a row. Hate to break it to you eXodus, but only 6 players ranked Uber doesn't mean the world is ending.

I dunno, i'm having trouble bringing myself to wait 30-40 minutes for a ranked match that won't do anything for my standing

I almost want Illmaren's ladder directly to replace this one. Idc if it goes back to pastats vs pastats. Being able to see the data and know if I win vs 10 people near me I can move up about 100 points. Or 3 ranks or w/e. To be honest atm I'd give 20$ if it could be done and make another tab under leaderboards for PASTATS ladder directly ingame and search buttons back. If anyone codes this let me know. I'll give them 20$ and pay for pastats ladder server for 3 months atleast.

I'm 8th on uberskill?! It's obviously the better ladder then haha.... Seriously though I haven't played for a couple of weeks which highlights how few games other people are playing

the ladder needs to stop rewarding people for playing less as a start

the question is how to make that?
is w/l ratio on avarage good enough, or avarage point system? adding bonuses for winning against "better" players"
maybe leagueplay with resets?
a mix of both?

rating a players skill and how much a player realy won on average are 2 different things, no?
the biggest problem between players will always be how many games one does play

Oh look! Ranked is falling off a cliff because not a lot of people like to play it!

REASONS:

Static maps
Boring, repetitive 1v1 gameplay.
Air Spam hurts larger maps by wrecking the *slow expansion* pacing philosophy.
Ranked isn't that fun anymore compared to FFAs or Team games.

Looks like we need to start focusing on stuff that ISN'T ranked, eh? What say you, L33t Noobs?

While all of that is true, the ranking system being broken is far from an insignificant factor.
