    Once alliance mode makes it in you should be able to team with an AI. I don't believe they're planning to let you do so in the army mode, or whatever it's called.

    Just kill your commander and you become a spectator...only problem is that mostly the AI will have spawn points quite next to each other with 1vs1 :p

    9 AI FFA are hilarious.

    weird to as you start rooting for your favourites. You have to keep reminding yourself they are just a computer.

    The ai would be much improved if it had the ability to build teleporters.

    In a classic example of human excess, I cleared the way for my teleporters by drawing together the AI's bombers with a tempting teleporter as bait, and then nuking the site, and the AI's air force, to oblivion. It's the only way to be sure.

    You might be interested in this replay sorian where the AI is a bit of a beast



    Lessons to learn:

    1. The AI builds a Pelter but doesn't take out the pelter nearby which is being built but instead destroys an energy plant.

    2. AI doesn't seem to understand how to handle walls which leads to its commander losing a lot of life it didn't need to.

    3. The AI should probably use walls as a defensive measure for its commander when fighting. Dueling with someone? Slap down some walls in front of yourself to block shots.

    I was really impressed though with how it handled the conditions of that game.

    No, that bug wont be fixed until gamma releases.

    Sorry to contradict you, but I found the AI to be just as easy to beat in that game as it usually is. Had very few defenses, just walked my com right in and killed it with ye ol' uber cannon.

    I agree with this. . I've found the AI's lack of ubercannon spamming means you can simply kill it (even with 50% less health) by spamming the ubercannon.

    indeed, the AI should be able to kick the **** out of a human in a straight out uber cannon fight.

    The fact it can't makes it very weak on small worlds.

    It is kind of balanced from a certain perspective....

    I.e. the AI's crazy APM is taken into account.

    Hopefully AI difficulty settings later will adjust stuff like this.


    However, it would also be taken into account if the uber cannon could be set to fire automagically
    Anyone noticed how they changed it so that uber cannon wasn't a contextual command anymore, in order to be consistent, (i.e. an attack command can not trigger an uber cannon), yet an uber cannon command triggers an infinite attack command?

    I played against AI a moment ago on metal planet where AI build 1 mex and 1 pgen and then it stood still for the rest of the game. o_O

    Check f11. The pathing isn't complete, sometimes units will get stuck. The AI still can't deal with this.

    I.e. it gets stuck because it's walking to a destination to begin the 3rd project.

    This moon is horrible for the AI.

    If it spawns in This crater, most times the commander will get stuck.

    If the AI fails to build a factory before it gets stuck, it then doesn't do anything at all.

    The spawn it is given is that crater. It's more or less 50-50. If you have that crater as one of your start location options, the AI won't spawn there. Otherwise, it will.

    62037 has a known AI issue that prevents it from teching properly and building factories appropriately. I had a fix ready last night (early this morning), but it was not ready in time for this mornings gamma launch. It will be fixed in the next patch that goes out.
