This mod allows markers to be set at the current time on the chronocam bar via a button. This allows you to easily jump back to a time when something significant happened (such as when your air scout flew over a base) without having to remember the exact time or try to find it.

Markers are also placed for alerts that occur. I intend to make markers for each of the three alert types ("ready", "destroyed" and "under attack") able to be toggled on/off in settings.

Markers are shown in red, but I intend them to match the alert colour. The description of the marker is shown above the bar when the mouse is hovered over a marker.

I think it would be best if you could click an alert and somehow select that you want to jump to it's location and time. To get the best out of it you would need a way to allow the player to flag interesting units.
I.e. "I want an alert I can click when that scout dies".

I *think* the UI has all API and information for this to be doable.

    This is really cool.

My intention has always been that we use Chronocam to "auto-create" a highlight reel at the end of the game using a similar type setup (based on notifications).

We don't have a way to mark a particular unit, only a particular unit type. So you could get an alert when any scout dies, but you can't mark a certain scout. It will be really easy to add support for that though, so I am hoping to get it in.

    I thought of this:

    1. Just get all alerts
    2. Store the ID of the marked unit, this is the point where I added the *think*, because I am not sure if we can get the ID of a selected unit.
    3. Look for that ID in the alerts.

Obviously I would not mind an extra API to do this kind of thing in a more convenient way :p

Here's a WIP version. Lots of bugs still:
    • F5, going to settings etc. will lose existing markers.
    • Clicking on a marker in the chrono bar won't jump to the time/location yet
    • Issues with the game time - if you leave the game screen/refresh, open the chronocam bar
    • Marker type toggle isn't yet available

I don't suppose this also highlights planet smashes and deathstar shots? Would be great to have those added, if not :)

    EXCITE! Oh wait, January.

EDIT: Oh, this is Clopse's fault. Why am I not surprised? ;)

Lol, what ever did happen with this? I would get this mod JUST FOR it marking a "commander located" marker on the chronocam. Because I am always wondering where the relative f*** was that enemy commander last I located him, especially if I was not on-screen when the scout/astraeus flew over him.

I thought the player icon took you to the last place you saw the enemy commander (and last place you saw the enemy if you haven't seen their commander yet)?

I never grow sad to see a mod die. As they never die, they are just assimilated into the game.

May we too never die, but simply one day just assimilate into the game...

    I would not complain...

But I would live on as a game replay, stored forever, and maybe even a GIF like that dox.
