Internal Playtest Recap – Commander Changes, Metal Extractors, & More – 1/27 :: brianpurkiss Starting off as a recap of one of Uber’s not as exciting playtests, this thread ends up going into in depth discussion on whether Advanced Metal Extractors should be removed or kept in the game. Most people seemed to agree that Advanced Metal Extractors are too powerful and should be nerfed or removed. New Build Walls Discussion – Good? Bad? Indifferent? :: brianpurkiss A discussion of the state of the new cheap and high hp walls. Most people liked the new changes. Some people want walls to be just for directing unit movement and can be shot over, and some people want them to be for absorbing damage. Other wanted multiple types of walls to fulfil both roles. POLL: Balancing Air - Continued (Backer's Lounge) :: eroticburrito A lot of talk about the current status of aircraft in Planetary Annihilation. Everyone wants one tweak or another, but the almost unanimous consensus is that aircraft should not stack. There were several other common trains of thought and lots of suggestions. Friendly Fire on Splash Damage :: carlorizzante This was a pretty heated topic. Most everyone is in favor of area of effect damage, though there was quite a bit of debate on how it should be implamented and whether units and buildings should intelligently determine if they'll cause more damage to their opponent or more damage to their friends. The Depressing Orbital War :: SatanPetitCul Everyone knows that Orbital is currently under developed and missing several key components of invading planets. This thread was simply a revival of that age 'ol topic. What's flawed? What should be added? How should it be implemented?
