This could be accomplish by allowing the user to choose to log into for online play or download build. So it is obvious to the average gamer and at the standard of GOG.com. also allow a player to choose to be logged into or not for offline play. In short make it straightforward and obvious there is No DRM in PA. Thank you, lokiCML
I would say nothing other then make it straightforward and obvious otherwise gog.com's community would ripped Uber a new one as things stand right now.
all the players need to do is starting the exe not the launcher ... uber just needs to point that out on their webpages ...
That's not really consumer friendly now is it? Point of this is to make it easier for newcomers. Starting the executable manually is difficult for the non-computer savvy. That's still too difficult; nobody goes to the knowledge base so having a article on it would be helpful but people won't see it without being told to RTFM.
But yet we still see comments like this: (Dec 21, 2014) - http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/0/626329820980613258/ This is the perception I want to avoid. For a example: (Jan 8, 2015) - http://steamcommunity.com/app/233250/discussions/0/622954023419900323/
This issue has been brought to my attention. I'll try and get a fix out before to long. We definitely don't want user to believe that our game contains DRM.
The easiest way to do promote the fact in public would just be to place the game on GOG.com, course they do only accept DRM-free games everybody will know that your game is DRM-free then! (BTW: The GOG community did vote for it to be on their service...)
I think to Uber need to somehow implement ability to host multiplayer games that visible in lobby out of box before doing that. There also question how to show the player if he able to play locally or no and why. This is also actual to somehow test and show bandwidth requirements for hosting games.
