S and N marks - super awkward

    So I just had a super "awkward" game. I had to spawn directly, I mean literally directly on the South pole.

    That MARK is driving me mad. EDIT: I forgot to say why, maybe it thought it was obvious. IT IS ******* HUGE. I couldn't see a thing in my base, only the huge red S mark in my face.

    I would gladly have buddies from The Realm to mod this mark out, but unfortunatelly for me, they said it is not moddable.

    Can you guys, dear developers, do something about it? Pretty please, cute panda.

    I think the texture for the N and S could be modded to be no texture at all..
    I'll look into it for you now..

    How is the south pole awkward?

    How is it even possible for such a thing to be a awkward situation?

    The big red s or n over your base can get quite annoying Alright.

    sorian was saying on one of the streams/playtests that apparently it used to disappear (I don't recall) and it staying there was probably a bug.

    Here's the mod..
    I'll let another modder make it PAMM compatible and use the shadow mod system..

    Until then
    just replace the particle effects in this folder with the ones in my zip file.
    It will remove the N/S pole markers...

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Planetary Annihilation\PA\media\pa\effects\specs
    or
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Planetary Annihilation\PA\media\pa\effects\specs

    (This mod will be removed if you "Verify Files" untill it's made to be PAMM compatible and use the Shadow mod system)

    I indeed must have asked the wrong realminion! Their powers are nothing compared to Max Powerz! That picture is sweet, but but ... where are the poles now!

    Can you possible make the marks just "super" small, compared to whay they are now? I still need to know, where the poles are, I just don't want to have this big ugly letter in my face all the time, especially when playing on the pole.

    Actually, I just realized that the "pole" is still there, when using pole lock or hitting N. So nevermind, I am being stupid. I can still tell where the pole is, obviously!

    Yes, open pole_north.pfx or pole_south.pfx with any text editor.
    Then edit value of "sizeX", replace 8 with 2 or 3 and then pole will be much smaller.

    Ninja'd by SXX but yeah it's scale-able by editing the x size in the .pfx file that controls the pole effect.

    Also in that pic that's sizeX"1"

    I don't know how to make this kind of mod PAMM compatible, i may need another modders help who submits their mods to PAMM to do this for me..
