Having seen this, I'll look into adding an option for arbitrary tab specification in rSettingsManager (currently it only works on the existing ones)

Good morning guys. I have installed the hotbuild2 mod. I can't seem to see the hotbuild preview of what is to be built. What key and where must I bind it? Sorry for the noob question if the answer is an obvious one.

Go to settings > keyboard > scroll down untill you see a hotbuild title
Below the hotbuild title are the keybindings.
There you give in a key press save.

Start game press the key (multiple times to cycle through selection).

Sorry, misread the mod. Thought it would show a build que on screen.

    Or better commenting.

How do I change from keys to original keys?

How do I add structures you forgot?

What does hotbuild reset time do?

You see? I know what some of those answers are. Not everybody does.

Also: Hotbuild was better. With hotbuild, you could set s to be mex, and hotbuild would overrule the default keybinding. Hotbuild2 causes you to stop building... :/

Also, you've broken requeue. Requeue needs a 'remove queue' function. You don't have one. When you stop the queue, it preserves it.

    I agree :)

    Soon this will be obsolete
    upload_2013-12-14_10-24-37.png

Feel free to give me a good explanation of that feature, I will copy it :)

In future I won't give in default keybinds , so you will have to set them up trough the settings.
It should give a warning if you have a conflict with a normal game key.
What do you mean with "causes you to stop building" ? (will check this out)

    Will fix :)

I mean because s is the default key for stop, it stops whatever the fabber is doing, instead of building mex. Whereas previously it would build mex instead of stopping. It would only stop if you weren't able to build mex (I.e. you were in defences tab), or you didn't have a faber selected. Pretty useful because you could still stop factories using s

I'm not having a lot of luck with shift+hotkeys either.

I'm having lots of issues making the transition. From what I've figured out, one of keys and original keys is redundant. I haven't figured out which overrides the other. But I made changes to keys. It kept all my changes, but it also kept hotkey10 in (I deleted that one), that was only present in original and the settings.

It's the timer before hotkey queue resets to the beginning of the queue.

I hope to do an update later today.
Hopefully that will fix your problems.

It's best to remove all default keys.

When you save settings in the keys tab it should normally already say if there are any keyconflicts.

Yeah one of the annoying humps in starting to use hotbuild is the transition. If it is possible to completely ignore conflicts with Uber's, or just automatically unbind Uber's keys that conflict with one's you've set that would be good. At the moment you have to unbind conflicts then re-do your hotbuild keys again.

I'll check on unbinding Uber's defaults.
Config is coming along nicely :) Can now set what needs to happen under each key from settings.

    Expect build later today.

    Question:

    upload_2013-12-14_13-57-18.png

In the dropdownlist / overview what do you want to see ?

Holkins or Advanced Artillery or both ?

Any tips on the UI ?

I'll remove the JSON column offcourse :)

I could deal with either but I would put both holkins + advanced artillery. Don't have much else to give I think I need to play with it to give some suggestions.

Updated first post with 1.6 + send to github for PAMM update.

I recommend you remove your local PA settings before installing new version.

    In following dir (win)
    C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\localstore\
Delete the folder "Local Storage" .
This will remove all your PA Settings ! (you will lose all your solarsystems as well)
If you start from an empty local settings, the default uber keys are unbind !

This was still not fixed in 1.6
I took the liberty to fix it and released 1.7, update via the manager.
