Showing it instead of the chat while you hover over a planet could work.
EDIT: oh wait that wouldn't let you click anything :|

Sorry. I've encountered an error that I don't fully understand, and I've been spending nearly all of my time figuring it out rather than releasing what already works. For every glitch I encounter there's something new to learn.

Anyway, here's a basic version (basically all the interesting and broken stuff stripped out). It's close to what I had a day after Gamma was released. You hover the cursor over each planet and details for that planet will pop up.

New change to new_game, new version of Planet Details. Should work.
Comes with a 'Details' button and unveils some of the newly added planet properties. Spot the "TODO:".

Same features, just compatibility with the changing UI. The folders are jumping all over the place!

Edit: This version in particular is in as much shape as a half-eaten sandwich.

Did you mean to add it with a different id, so that both the old and new versions are on pamm?

I couldn't find the old version so I just added the new one. You can delete the old one. I guess Dementiurge changed the ID somewhere along the line.

The full Version 2.0 is now released for Gamma and on PAMM

Better formatting and supports multiple-start games.

another mod that should be standard UI -.-

now if there was a way to "reseed" systems without changing the planet-setup, it would be awesome

An update is in main post.

I can't run the atomshell PAMM on WinVista for some reason. Maybe I should get with the decade. Though enabling mods by hand does have its own delicious satisfaction. It should still work with PAMM, I just can't test it myself: Try out the version from the main post and tell me if PAMM likes it.

    Anyway,
I'm looking for ideas for new features. What do ya say?

Either I'm not doing it right, or it doesn't work in 70289. Neither 2.0 or 2.1 seem to work for me.
Is it really "out-patched", or is it a problem on my end?

It was out-patched. I feared this would happen, but didn't bother to check.

I've uploaded a new version (2.1a) to the main post for testing with 70289. I should probably test it against the PTE too...

    That works, thanks.

Although in my case "detail" window doesn't display the same way as it is on the screen shot in the original post. In may case the first planet covers half of the "new system" button and the entire details button. The second one covers the colour selection, of the first three slots. The third planet covers the commander selection of those slots, and the beginning of their names.

I'm guessing that the details button is what's supposed to close the details window right? As it is my only option of closing it is to press the browse button and then go back to menu.

This is probably a wide screen issue. in that case you could fix the problem by moving the window by the Y to the height where it cannot cover the buttons. Or by placing a close button in that window. Or by letting us click the details button through it. Or some smarter method with resolution detection or something else... I'm not exactly familiar with what can or cannot be done in PA's mods.

In any case, thanks again for the mod, it a great one.
