Hi, I bought the 80$ edition of PA in steam and the problem is that it does not run at all. Attached video shows how I try to launch PA through steam. Steam support says they can do nothig untill official release. Uberent support offered to install latest drivers and directx updates so i did.

    Here the video http://www.screenr.com/xgxH

People need to have patience, uber is still making sure the mine field of various drivers and systems make ups can run PA. Try to forward all the information you can, as this is also part of alpha testing.

First you need try to run PA.exe directly, it's give you some particular error. You probably get "Loadlibrary failed with error 126".

Please update your ATI drivers and make sure you have the newest version of DirectX 9.c installed.

You also need to log out of the forum and log back in again to get the usergroups you need.

    Thanks to sxx!
The game starts normally. So, what I did:

    1 - install AMD_Catalyst_13.6_Beta2 and reboot
    2 - delete all *d3dx*.dll files from windows\system32 and windows\SysWOW64
    3 - install directX Jun2010
4 - launch the game from steam :D

You need to share your DxDiag first. Run DxDiag tool (Start > Run > type "dxdiag" without quotes), press "Save All Information" button and upload your DxDiag.txt as attachment on forums.

I'm working off of a latitude D830 laptop, I don't have the room for all the upgrades I want. I'm up to date on all my drivers and my OS, I'm still getting the same start up massage, it might just be it's an alpha and if that's the case the beta should fix it.

You got laptop with 6 years old GPU, game won't work with this hardware.

Unfortunately your hardware is too old and slow, it's doesn't support technologies PA use.

I have a problem where PA crashes upon activation, with the pa.exe has stopped working alert. I have attached my dxdiag, so let me know if it's a problem with the hardware. I think it's cause of the graphics capabilities of this machine, but I'm not sure.

So I just bought PA and I'm getting the "PA has stopped working error" about a second or two after trying to start the game from steam. My dxdiag is attatched below, any help would be much appreciated.
