I am lazy/clueless so here are screenshawts.

This thread will ultimately turn into a number fest, so someone needs to start drawing up graphs!

EDIT: That'd be me I guess. Was bored so I decided to whip up this one for the assault only. Figures shown are based on an average of the 6 sets of data that has been posted in this thread so far. I'm surprised there's no kills for the grenade launcher grapple shown on these things. :|

8900 minigun kills to 350 mortar kills makes me sad

Why? I don't run a RoF build so the mortar is only use for Turrets and bitches who think hiding behind a 3 foot pillar makes them safely out of my damage range. That and a few snipers who think their face is impervious to flying explosives lol.

Not really sure why people think the mortar is so amazing tbh lol.

Pathetic. Real men use the gunner exclusively for sumoing.

It has it's uses but amazing is a stretch. I've seen plenty of mortar spamming gunners but not once have I seen one that made me think "wow I should do that"

That is part of the age old sport that is sumo.

1. Using mortar doesn't slow you down. You can stay more mobile to reduce the threat from snipers and tanks pretending to be snipers.

2. Mortar builds juice very quickly off bots.

3. If the mortar is your primary weapon, then you'll usually have the minigun fully loaded and ready for close range encounters.

4. Double grapple!

Even with all of that I still don't see an reason why my actual kills with it should be any higher than they are. Like I said my build does not use RoF. I use it to kill a sniper here or there sure, but as seen above snipers are my least killed class. I've always found it more fun to sneak up on snipers and blast them with a spun up burst anyways.

Oh and I do kill bots with the mortar but this does not reflect that

Plus double grapple seems like a failure on anything other than juiced pro suppression and even then you're probably gonna end up dead. There's a reason he's called a gunner lol.
