Am I missing something , or is there no single player option in the game? Did I just get screwed ? IF so what are the chances of getting my money back. IF they don't have single payer that's something they should mention in the sales.
The Alpha/Beta requires you to be connected to the internet. You can still play effectively single player by creating a custom game on UberNet with as many "player slots" as you want. Once you publish the lobby, immediately hit "ready", and it will fill the extra slots with AI. True offline singleplayer will not be available until the game is completed.
currently the server has not been released so you indeed can't play a single player game offline. However you can join a game and immediately click ready so you'll play an ai alone. The server will be released at release of the game in December. EDIT: ninja'd :s
