    • AI can now launch multiple nukes at once.
    • The AI will also attempt to avoid or overwhelm anti nukes.
    • The AI should stop nuking things that it shouldn’t, like itself or orbital
    • Improved AI economy use and reduced the amount of time AI fabbers spend moving.
    • This playtest also shows off the new spectator features.
    • Remember, there have been some awesome improvements to lighting, so this means big performance improvements, particularly for spectators.
    • The AI is better at choosing a spawn
    • The AI doesn’t intelligently send units through teleporters. Uber has a lot of plans to make sure units are sent intelligently between planets.
    • This isn’t the final form of the spectator menu. It’s going to be much greater. Sorian has a lot of plans for it.
    • The spectator’s info panel’s factory list does not show orbital factories.
    • The AI is intelligent enough to assess risks and pre-emptive strike against umbrellas and avoid them with laser satellites.
    • New Anti-nuke animation for intercepting nukes
    • Sorian uses the community’s gameplay videos and tournament videos to develop the AI. He takes inspiration and tactics used by players and incorporates them into the AI.
    • Once “neural nets” are added into the game, they AI will become a lot more intelligent. They’ll avoid areas, they’ll raid economy buildings, and have all around better risk assessments.
    • We’ll probably have all sorts of cool ways to play team games with the AI so we can use pings to get the AI to go do stuff and the AI will use pings to inform players on what it is doing.
    • The Sandbox AI now does absolutely nothing rather than just having 0 eco
    • There’s a “much grander plan” for the spectator features.

    I'm about 20 minutes into the video... the AI is NOT kidding around o.o

    The multiplanet spawns really add a fantastically cool extra dimension to things.

    Is this your way of saying you expect the neural nets to be ready for some training examples by the tournament?

    Never been so happy to be a part of that. I am glad we are building the most competitive player we can to ensure longevity of entertainment in PA.

    This was showing off build 63180 that was released yesterday. The build was actually released part way through this livecast.

    The neural nets are generally trained through hundreds of automatic AI games which sorian will let run on a server somewhere. Doesn't need the front end or anything, just needs to keep churning out games.
