New build is posting (Only US Central has it yet, we're resetting EU West as it got in a weird state).

    - First pass balance by none other than scathis
    - Fog of war first pass
    - Number of server stability fixes
    - Number of camera fixes/tweaks/changes
    - About 20 other checkins I don't recall at the moment. :)

    Build live and working now.

Dead build at the moment. Server is crashing on startup, we're pushing a new build right now. One of those "impossible to test bugs until we pushed it to UberNet".

We had to revert back to the weekend build for now. Fixing this is taking a bit more time. Also, the EU West server is having hardware problems. Hopefully it'll be fixed by morning.

Hmm... There's still a few nasty bugs, but nothing major that's breaking my ability to join games or causing me to crash non-stop.

I did find my Commander teleport (I think) across an ocean and become stuck in the floor though.

    ---

Upon closer inspection, (This ChronoCam voodoo witchcraft is the BOMB for exactly this kind of occasion), at 14m54s my Commander decided to go on a walk, but I'm SURE I didn't give him a Command to do so. He walked casually into a lake... and then down into a raveane. At 16m10s he emerges once more from his watery constitutional and walks happily into a sandbank where he refuses to move. He'll build around himself... but not move one inch.

How can I send this replay to you?

We've seen this.. Hopefully almost all instances of this will be fixed once we get a major pathfinding overhaul checked in soon.

Why did my Commander begin moving? Looking at the replay I'm 100% certain I didn't have him selected.

It seemed to affect another unit too. My single T2 Fabrication Bot.

Edit: My game just crashed. Hopefully there's something to salvage from it.

Drag selecting is not 100% accurate. You can get units caught in the selection that you cant see or are on the other side of the planet.

That'll be it. At the time I was indeed trying to box a few wayward Scramblers on the southern hemisphere. I can only imagine the fresh hell that is true spherical maps.

it might also explain what was happening to your bombers in that one game you kept accusing me of doing things.

My version says 48512 right now. Anyway, here we go:

performance CPU-wise is pretty well distributed between my 4 cores, no bottlenecks
GPU gives me a solid 60 fps zoomed in and 30 zoomed out with some hick-ups during zoom

Fog of war is pretty nice. I wish it would remember buildings though. Even this small planet has a pretty large surface area. Finding some units or buildings will be easy enough but it's hard to get the 'big picture' right now. The T1 radar could definitely use a buff for testing imo.

I'll report back if I encounter any crashes (except the crash at the end of the game).

You're saying the T1 Radar does anything at all? :p
I had several T2's and I don't think they did anything at all except look pretty.

    ...

They did a good job at doing that though, so I forgive them.

I'm not sure. I build it just out of reach of the AI defense turrets and it didn't reveal anything of use.

I'm keenly anticipating the Pathfinding overhaul by the way Uber. Units seem very keen on forming Conga-Lines at the moment. :p

As for this version it's running VERY smooth on my end. I had over 150 mobile units on screen and moving without any problems. The game is obviously very "bare bones" at the moment, but as a foundation it's looking quite solid.

I just had quickmatch fail to create properly 2 times, client crashed the first time. Seems to be okay now.

PS: sim was terminated, can't rejoin the old game it seems.

    Crashing things is FUN!..
(actually the process is tedious but the end result is amusing)

I was disconnected from the server and I'm not sure if it was my fault or not. I did have an army of over 1500 mobile units though...

Edit: YOU caused the server to crash Colonel!?

Edit2: Haha! You weren't expecting ME to take over the AI were you!?!

Edit3: And then I crashed your game!

I didn't see you on Steam the whole time though Jess... are you hiding?
