Hello i really want to play this game but i cant i just installed the no splash mod to avoid the loading screen stuck that i got at first, but now i cant see the game menu i can see the cinematic and all of that then the main menu appears for like 1 second and then it goes all black, app isnt crashing or something just i cant do anything than move the mouse ... Oh, hey, I just noticed that the PA log you posted earlier is actually not running through Steam. Though weirdly enough it does pull the version.txt from your Steam install. It seems you have multiple copies of PA installed. Do start PA through the UberLauncher or through Steam? If you use Steam, try going to "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Uber Entertainment" (copy-paste that in the address bar of File Explorer). Then rename the directory called "UberLauncher" to something like "UberLauncher.bak". If you use the UberLauncher, try hitting [VERIFY] in there at least two of three times.
im using Steam but i have downloaded the Pa launcher to try if it could help ... i'v just done what u said but stills the same ... idk why im not able to play it :/ i tried changing the folder permissions, uninsalling and reinstalling graphic drivers, using intel only and nvidia only but its not working
The reason I thought it could be missing files was because the log you posted complained about failing to load certain files. But since you verified the files, the should definitely be there. You can check the content of the file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Planetary Annihilation\Planetary Annihilation\stable\media\shaders\post.json" to see if it contains any text, but I suspect it will. Can you check the list of known incompatible software? It's here: https://wiki.palobby.com/wiki/Windows_Incompatible_Software Finally, as a temporary measure, can you try doing a clean boot? Instructions for that are here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135 If that clean boot works, then it means there is software that is interfering that wasn't on the list yet.
yeah post.json contains text I have kaspersky but now it have been disabled and game ist working i did the claenboot and the same any other idea? or could u help me using TeamViewer? Ty
Hmm, that's too bad. I don't have many more ideas though. A few more questions though: I did notice you have had a few blue screens. Is that an ongoing problem or has that been fixed? When you uninstalled and reinstalled the NVIDIA drivers, did you reboot after the uninstalling? Also, can you press Start, type "device manager" and start it? It should show you all of the devices on your computer. Do any of them have warning or error symbols? Can you try running PA with the --nomods launch parameter? You can enter that if you right click on PA in Steam and go to properties.
Oh, hah, then it was probably just the no splash mod. I had assumed you had uninstalled it after it hadn't worked. You can try removing --nomods again and then just use PAMM to disable it. That way you'll be able to use your other mods (if any).
