You're just mad I do a better job at ad hominem than you do, so since you couldn't win, you make it look like it wasn't fair or like I'm the arsehole.

    On that note...
    ...and yet...
When @gmase is calling you out on it, you know your f*ckery is not just biased, it's universally annoying.

If i have to google a joke, it's not a good joke. The political alignment thing is already one obscure thing, but two obscure things in the same joke is stretching it.

Also @thetrophysystem, @tatsujb, go have your dispute in private.

No. Also, you should learn that meme, because I'm pretty sure it's rapidly expanding?

Here, let me help, and for bonus points, guess which one I am:

Humour is contextual. You don't have to understand it for it to be a good joke in of its own context.

(it's also subjective, which is why there are very few "objectively" bad jokes, except in the realm of causing offense for the sake of offense)

"Pretty cool, needs to leave..." The anarchy chart is the stupidest thing I've seen this week and I've spent quite a lot of time on the Internet.

Trudeau? The guys a puppet. A panty waisted, weasly mummy's boy with nice hair. It's not even about left/right politics, that's just his character. Canada is all kinds of leftist madness right now though with the passage of bill c16 (mandated speech), and bill 89 (children given legally binding power to self diagnose their own gender based on dubious social constructivist ideology). Then there was the comedian fined $40k for making an offensive joke lol.

And yea, good for you. Speak the truth - use socialism in it's correct definition i.e fundamental marxism and it's interpretations (leninism, stalinism, nazism, maoism, post modern progressivism etc.). Don't give an inch to the socialists who play word games around the 100+ million deaths associated with their ideology. Even leftist philosophers like zizek openly recognise the total abject failure of socialism and openly seek to reform it the same way some genuinely liberal muslims seek to reform islam.

Many socialists don't fully understand the fundamental roots of their beliefs and so you will get a lot of plausible and genuine deniability from them. Once in a while you'll also come across the disturbingly naive socialist who believes that if only he/she had absolute power we'd be living in utopia in 5 seconds flat. Any one socialist will hold a small fragment of the ideology, but when you get a lot of them together that's when they start putting their pieces together collectively opening up a gaping void in the human heart from which the swamp monster comes out and engulfs the land in death and mayhem.

Social democracy, democratic socialism etc. whatever new buzzword they come up with is just another way to say the same thing. e.g. Socialism achieved by democratic means. They simply replace tyranny of a dictator with tyranny of the majority.

Don't ever get tricked by their terminology which seeks to confuse and conflate classical liberalism (equal opportunity and individualism as the goal, served by a social safety net), with socialism (equal outcome and collectivism is the goal in order to create a classless society free from class oppression, served by the individual). Leftism and liberalism are very different.

And when you remind them that Nazism was also a democratic attempt at socialism that trick the German conservative and classical liberal traditions at the time to get on board with "helping others", they tend to go full on denial mode.

Meanwhile, when you criticise the far right, they remain bastions of peacefulness and integrity.

    Naturally.

This meme seems to have gone over everyone's head, but basically it's a sophisticated multi-level troll though it's not particularly that good.

Anyway, it's based on this owlturd meme which does the rounds in libertarian circles every once in a while,

The one trophy linked with the black/yellow flag (the anarcho capitalist flag) was created by ancaps and is supposed to represent a fictional idiotic response by "dumb socialists" who say ancap is for child slavery or some such. The troll being that if you believe it, then you got trolled.

I criticise authoritarianism wherever i see it, right or left. Stop putting words in my mouth.

Can't believe i'm still getting crap from you for defending trump against that russian nonsense ages ago. And now of all times, when Comey proved me right beyond reasonable doubt that no such collusion took place. Learn to hold a sophisticated position. Unlike the religion of socialism, you don't have to be 100% for something or 100% against something.

You mean jeff sessions, the guy that actually said there was absolutely no collusion. Because Comey definitely said there was.

Which is weird, because the last time there were vague allegations against a political figure it was all definitely true and washington was corrupt, but when it happens to trump and his team (there's always just another meeting with russians that definitely didn't happen except it did) then it's suddenly all fake news.

Is it really that hard for republicans to say "yes we had some russian meetings, no problem cause we go way back" and then those russians come in and say "that's true" and so the end of the russian deal is done? Because right now they testify there was no contact whatsoever and i think 2-3 times in a row now it turns out there was contact.

For a team with supposedly nothing to hide, they keep hiding things.

Did you not see the Comey hearing? He confirmed there was no investigation of Trump, and Comey isn't Trump's best friend. If this is going to bite me in the ***, it's also going to bite the DNC in the ***. Even they have realised their cheap party trick has run out of rope and have pivoted to anything else they can find to save themselves.

Remember that piece by the NYT mid feb claiming intel agencies were investigating Trump for collusion with the Russians based on "anonymous American officials"? https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/14/us/politics/russia-intelligence-communications-trump

And we have a second point of confirmation thanks to Pelosi talking shop with a good dose of freudian slip.
The boat's sinking Tatsu and everyone can see it. Best to just quietly get into the nearest life raft and pretend this episode of dumb and dumber never happened. You're looking rather silly wading around in water up to your waist shouting at the top of your voice that you're as dry as a raisin.

Suggest you go and watch the hearing again, then read his written testimony, then see what the Democratic and MSM reaction to the hearing was - did they amp up russiagate or not.

If only you ever criticised anything vaguely related to any right-wing actions anywhere, I might actually be willing to take your claims at their word.

    Sadly, actions dictate perception.

You're talking about the investigation into trump personally. I'm talking about the collusion in general. Jeff sessions for instance said there was no contact with any russians despite proof to the contrary. Which isn't the first time someone testified to have no contact only for there to have been contact that was conveniently forgotten.

Besides it seems not even Trump knows what's going on, since he said that he was under investigation on twitter, then his lawyer said he wasn't except he then said he was except he then said he never said that.

Also Elodea, there are three or four russian-related stories right now:
-Hacking of the DNC. probable, unconfirmed (and probably never will be)
-hacking of states' voting databases (ongoing)
-collusion of trump's administration with the russians (ongoing)
-Collusion of trump himself with russians (e.g. divulging sensitive information from Israel): comey says it didn't happen.

That sure is a good way to discuss things. "Wait you claim things that somehow are remotely connected to socialism? You will bring about the apocalypse!"

made me chuckle pretty good :)

Not gonna try to argue with this. Sure our social democracy will engulf our land with death and mayhem. Just look at all the horrible things that have happened around here in the last 50 years or so. ;)

Yep the Nazis were actually nice guys, but the socialism thing is what made them evil. ;)

Your views seem to get extremer every time you pop up here again Elodea.

If you are referring to the Trump government I'd tend to agree.

@elodea I'm getting the feeling that in the comey hearing, as with everything trump, both sides walked away feeling they won.

which you don't seem conscious of nor acknowledge

it doesn't help that comey played the tune of both camps but honestly I feel the closed hearing's eventual release is likely to displease you.

I dunno why you don't tread more carefully around your statements it seems "once bitten twice shy" isn't one of the mantras you've ingested yet.

    uhmmmm

    on that

the raft approach isn't scientific or logical-minded as such i don't recognize myself there. I actively bash people like trophy for denying global warming in order to get everyone on the same page on that one topic which incidentally is needed if we are to have a shot at this "saving the world from drowning, literally/surviving" thing.

and, ironically, I find that in this instance, in the case where we don't manage to convince them, the eco-sceptisists fit the bill of negationists.

just setting the record straight. I don't know what you were referring to and don't care I couldn't get past the glaringly obvious poor and ironic choice of metaphor.
