• Short
• takes itself seriously
• Sweet
• No stalling
• No slaking off on the amount of animations ; you know... the thing it gets it's name from (no reused scenes).

Yea the new independence day looks like it's a fun movie

It legitimately looks like what I'd imagine an XCOM movie to be like.
I mean hell, the story of the movie is basically what XCOM 2 would have been if Enemy Within's ending was canon. Even the technology looks similar!

I had the same idea. It definitely has an Xcom vibe.

Where the hell are you getting these XCOM vibes from? There's no clandestine secret organization type thing going on here. It's the exact opposite.

It's not about a secret military organization thing. It's the "humanity beats aliens then uses their technology against them" vibes.

Fair enough. But I don't think it's XCOMy enough to be like XCOM.
