 Post subject: Meat Grinder WIP(edit now with single mingun and gunner)

Okay So I am editing this post with the revised model and ditching the other one.
Also some pics of the Single Mini.

This is my first Atempt at an Item Mod, very basic stuff, Some very light manipulation of the wireframe from ubers lovely FBX files, and then some very basic recoloring of the gun.

going for an Evil steampunky kinda look.

So I think I worked out the textures right. The next step is getting the UDK integration right.

oh sweet! That looks pretty awesome. Can't wait to see the rest of the weapons when you get to them.

So with custom content that moves, do you have to create the gun animation, or do they just copy and paste the animations of older weapons assuming they are of the same general shape?

Well You could do custom animation, I am just making changes to the FBX file so the Uber animations should remain. I had been having issues with collision data but I think I may have worked around that.

This one does look the most professional so far. Is that because you're editing an existing file or because you're experienced?

I've just started watching 3ds max tutorials, and I'm preparing myself for the inevitable many complications.
