I have been getting stuff into the udk editor. I am having trouble with getting blender to export to udk. Right now I just have my textures with the original model. It does look bad, but it did give me the opportunity to fix my normal and spec maps.

My goal is to simply recreate a combo of the mega betty picture and the one its based off of (the mega milk pic), simplifying the look, and put it in game. I started off by removing the pads, straps and armor from the mid section and then rebuilding the uv maps. I think I worked on her shirt by covering up the cleavage and getting the look right to match the original picture.

When I started on the texture, I decided to do a rough draft and then add in details in refinements later. However, i started to like the cel-shaded look I was starting to get. I might just run with it. Hopefully it looks good in game, if it does then doing a jet set radio Megabeth should be easy. I don't have the entire texture done, but its a good start. I still need to do the head and everything below the knees.

The only significant change I am still planning is to extend her hair out of her helmet. I want to get the look like she let her hair out around the shoulders so it would match the target picture.

I will need help getting this into game and possibly making taunt to go with the meme.


EDIT: after I made this thread, I realized I made a mistake on the shirt and she is starting to look a little to orange.

Nice to see this idea getting some model-making attention. Hope the hair goes well.

Do you intend to do the leggings? ("Everything below the knees" is slightly ambiguous).

It'd be lovely to see a smoother render when you can make one.

Below the legs: I just meant the texture work. I am thinking about inverting the red and white on the pads. I only removed the wings from the skates.

Haha this one will be a top seller if it makes it into the game. A couple of things I noticed and would like to suggest:

-Her breasts don't look as "voluminous" as they do in the picture - I know the drawing is not realistic, but the 3D version should make this 'feature' more notorious to make sense.
-Her goggles are different between drawing and model; I am not sure if this is moddable but it would be a nice detail.
-Her shirt neck looks kind of weird, like too plain. I would add a small black outline to separate it - but that's just me.
-I believe the actual text in the picture is "Mega Beth" and not "Betty". Not sure though, we can ask Critical Hit to be 100% sure.

Edit: nevermind about the goggles, I just re-read the part where you said it was still pending.

As for the chest, I rather not mess with proportions or screw up the original size to much. It was the pain in the ass to fix it after covering up the cleavage. I rather not inflate it again, redo the uv marks, and have to fix a dozen more polys. I rather not go over the top with sort of thing.

If you compare the goggles between the original megabeth and the mega milk pic you will see that they are different. Two drasticly different styles of goggles.

The shirt neck, I will fix a bit later.
