We have all seen the massive thrusters that are attached to asteroids in the kickstarter. But what if we had the option of installing those into our base as a new form of defense.

I believe it could have two specific uses. The first is to prevent smaller enemies from approaching because the exhaust wind is to fast for them to advance against. and/or to cause heat damage to anything that comes into its path.

Here is a conceptual drawing of how that might look in game.

As a way of firing my power economy directly at the enemy.

    I like it.

Those thrusters are anchored to the planet and point straight out. The only time it could possibly fry something is if it flies directly overhead. The closest comparison is the Firestorm Defense from the titular Red Alert game. It would be too large for ground units to climb over, so they'd simply go harmlessly around it.

Honestly, I love all the air killing systems that keep cropping up. Include them all! Air units are going to be like moths in a forest fire.

I like the idea of being able to quickly 'deploy' your pgens as a last ditch effort at defense and sacrificing the production of power (and quickly draining it).
